Văn Hóa Magazine features Supreme Master Ching Hai’s words of wisdom on climate change.

Văn Hóa Magazine features Supreme Master Ching Hai’s words of wisdom on climate change. The current February-March 2009 issue of Văn Hóa Magazine, headed by esteemed chief editor and publisher Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc, and considered a great contribution to the Aulacese (Vietnamese) community, features the article, “Supreme Master Ching Hai and Her Global Warming Alarm Bell,” which presents the urgent matter of global warming, with excerpts from Supreme Master Ching Hai’s insightful remarks and advice given during numerous videoconferences with our Association members as well as dignitaries and the public. The following is an excerpt from this issue of Văn Hóa magazine:

“Faced by the immeasurable upheaval of global warming, Supreme Master Ching Hai, a humanitarian, an artist, and a spiritual teacher, has wholeheartedly devoted her efforts to protecting the environment by her practical actions through conferences with scientists around the world, in order to bring forth a better life for people, so that humans and all other beings are able to live in peace and harmony. With an open heart, an immense love of the boundless that goes beyond any frontier of culture and race, she has always lived by her expectation of a brighter future for Earth.”

VOICE: The article concludes by echoing support for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s dream for the world, which would grant all inhabitants a profound peace as well as secure the planet’s future.

“The dream is so simple, yet so noble! We pray that thousands of people will understand your aspiration, and understand your pain to quickly change their heart and mind.
All it takes is to eat vegetarian diet,
To become a vegetarian,
And choose the vegetarian lifestyle.
Then everything will settle down. Natural disasters will not happen again. And especially global warming will also vanish.
One day, when our co-inhabitants are no longer subject to being killed, how highly civilized our Earth will be!
The question is are we ready for the vegetarian lifestyle now?
The answer is now or it is too late.”

VOICE: Our hearts resonate with the earnest and hopeful message conveyed by Văn Hóa Magazine, whom we laud and appreciate. We too are ever grateful for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s beacon of guidance and confidence in humanity to meet the climate challenge. May similarly noble-minded media everywhere join in the call for the vital choice of veg, so that all may soon live on a heavenly Earth.

“SOS” Save the Planet Live Videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai
March 6, 2009

Supreme Master Ching Hai: Peace and love begins on our table, begins on our plate, our dinner, our breakfast, our lunch. Love is just an abstract word, but love can be an action. So if we do love our children, we do something. And now that we know that vegan diet will save the world for our future generation, I do ask everyone to sacrifice their palette, the taste, the habit, which is very detrimental to our health anyway. Cut off this habit of animals’ products. And then we can have everything else, even cars to drive, even airplane, even ships, even boat, even everything that we’re having right now, because nothing is as harmful as animals’ product.

VOICE: Supreme Master Ching Hai’s counsel was keenly heard and warmly supported.

Governor Fidel Herrera Beltrán, Veracruz, Mexico (M):
To save the planet is to save ourselves, to save our lives and that of all other living beings. To save the planet is then, to work together, governments and organizations, in favor of life and for the future…
With that I say: Thank you Master, keep going. And let us help you to save our planet. Thank you.

VOICE: Congratulations, dignitaries and all participants for this meaningful gathering on the most important issue in all of our lives. We especially thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for her deep concern and boundless love for the planet and her many inhabitants. In the words of the Honorable Veracruz Governor, “May the world quickly join hands and be vegan, to protect our kind, other beings and our only planetary home.”

Please tune in at a future date for the full conference with Supreme Master Ching Hai on Words of Wisdom, with multi-language subtitles.

Supreme Master Ching Hai on Climate Change:The Solution

There is solution, only three steps, no? VEGETARIAN, SUSTAINABLE ENERGY, PLANT TREES. How more simple, can it be?

If the government and the media jump in and help and spread all this and say, "It's really urgent, and everybody must do it," then we still have time. Two years. Okay, it's short, but we have time to keep the planet as is. As is. Not as good as before, but as is. And not worse.

They ban cigarettes and it's banned. And they banned drugs, and it's banned. It's not legal. Yeah, and the cigarette reduction now reduce a lot of illness everywhere in the world. People know that. The same with the climate change policy. If they just do what they know is good, then it's very quick. In no time we will recover, or we stop the effect. Because if we don't raise any more cattle or animals, then the Earth will be more sustainable. No more greenhouse gas or methane gas from the animals. No more multiplying all the time. Whatever we have already, we keep it. And no more, raising for profit and meat. Then the Earth will recover.

This is the only important thing right now. First you have to survive and then you can do anything else you want, but if you don’t survive, you don’t have the planet, what's the use? Unless they want to kill their children. If that’s what they decided, what are we going to do?

You see, the gasses are fuming from the ocean and from the land that's been defrosting. It's fuming everywhere. It's just that at the moment, it's not so intense. And then you probably have a headache when you pass by some place, you don't know why suddenly the headache come, and you don't know suddenly your heart hurt, burned. You don’t know why today your liver is no good, and then you take medicine and you forget about it. But it'll be more and more intense if we don't do something. It started long time already. It's just not intensive enough yet, you know, the density. The gas amount is not yet so lethal. Okay, it is lethal to some people in some area where it's more direct, nearby. But most people, they live far away, a little effected or not yet effected. Or very little effect, then they just blame it, "Okay, I ate something bad yesterday, or maybe I drank too much alcohol." And blame it on drinking or food or bad mood, or maybe old age or whatever, don't know that.
